Why are there so few dual monitor KVMs? I bought this and it works great, but you MUST understand that this KVM ONLY handles analog video signals. If you have systems with two VGA connectors or VGA and DVI-I or VGA and DVI-A you're fine because you can get a converter from DVI-I or DVI-A to VGA/HD15 connector format to go with that to work . On the other hand, if you have something with DVI-D (like Dell docking stations with two DVI-D and one VGA), you're out of luck without an expensive D/A converter for a second monitor. I had one of these and needed to plug it directly into one of the monitors (bypassing KVM), which certainly works (sometimes you have to manually select the input on that monitor when going to that system with KVM), but it loses a bit of the comfort you should have with this rather expensive kvm. Other than that, there aren't many options, and this thing is small and built like a tank, very easy to use, and works as advertised. I especially like the USB on the back to take the printer with you when you upgrade to any system. as well as USB on the front for a flash drive. TO UPDATE. Another analog signal option (required for this KVM) is if you have DisplayPort interfaces (of which I had 2 on my Dell Dock). Google it if you're not familiar. The bottom line is that although it's a digital format, it was created with the intention of being suitable for older display formats. In other words, you can buy an active display port to VGA converter for around $30. The key here seems to be the word "active". It's also really nice that this digital to analogue conversion can be done with mains power (no extra cables or bricks needed).
