First I bought a Bissell 19404 PowerFresh Pet steam mop for $89 three months ago. This device heats up within two minutes and is very light. I used it weekly and really liked how quickly the tile floors shone. Prepare the floor by sweeping it thoroughly and the microfiber mop head will pick up stubborn food debris. Maybe you have chunks of dried soup, squash, tomato sauce, or whatever your child ate five minutes before you absolutely had to leave the house. Bissell does an excellent job here. The lightweight and less expensive model has a downside. Every time I went to the bathroom (and we have three) it annoyed me a little. The Bisssell isn't designed to get into the tight spot behind the toilet, so I steamed both sides, got on my hands and knees, and used a microfiber cloth to clean up a few stains. As with both models, the steam loosens dirt, but you'll need a microfiber cloth to remove it. We have a 2 year old who wears cloth diapers and is potty trained. I'm very convinced that I want a sanitary bathroom that doesn't smell and is just, well, hygienic. Hence my search for a more powerful solution for toilets and bathtubs. In two months I will post photos and update this review (when I have time). I had to take "before" pictures. (a) If you wipe the area where the faucet meets the porcelain and do not remove the dirt within five years, the steam will loosen it. Pull out your old toothbrush, voila! (b) If you want to steam your bath and have enough microfiber towels, you're in luck. Put on this triangular nozzle, wrap it around the brush and paint the perimeter (the river along which the rubber duck swims), the sides and the base. Eventually I will find a mechanism to make the fabric hold better. (c) With this triangular mount, place the cloth back directly under the rim of the toilet bowl and direct the steam towards the rim. Leave on for 15 seconds, then rub. I think that's what makes this car the most valuable. Some chemical products have a curved spout to spray chemicals under the rim. It just doesn't work. (d) If you're using sealing wax on a bathroom counter and accidentally drop a few large drops, nothing can remove that sealing wax except steam. Serious. (e) I saw a video where you can use this on your hearth so I can access it during another dream. (f) It is more environmentally friendly than chemicals. Cons: (a) It takes about fifteen minutes to get up to temperature if you put in 48 ounces of water. (It contains 64.) (b) There is no gauge showing the water level. (c) He is obviously heavier than Bissell. I just leave it on top and use the plain in the kitchen and laundry. If there are other flaws I will come back and edit. -js
