You may think I'm kidding, but I mean business. I looked at the straws that were in my sports bottles and decided I would stop using them for fear of getting seriously ill from the bacterial dirt that was in the straws. I took a wire hanger and turned it into some sort of pole and then crumpled up some paper towels and stuck them through the straws to clean them. To my credit it worked but was tedious and took several attempts with a few pieces of towel to get it clean. I seriously had no idea such a product existed, but I'm glad I found it. I used a wire hanger and crumpled up pieces of paper towels to clean my sports bottle straws. Thats much better. This brush works very well, is the perfect size to properly clean straws, is inexpensive and well made. It's also nice to have a real plastic handle.
