I was a little apprehensive about this purchase based on reviews mentioning that the water is cloudy and the fish don't eat the built in feed. Fortunately, none of these things happened. Since each pyramid can support 5 fish for 3 days, I sawed off half of the pyramid and threw it into my aquarium with 2 goldfish. (Half) of the block broke up in 3 days and both fish survived the weekend! The water was slightly cloudy, but nothing unmanageable. Maybe the filter system helped. The fish seem to enjoy nibbling on the white chalky substance and it doesn't seem to have had any ill effects on them. I would buy them again to feed my fish on the weekends when we're out of town and can't feed them.
