I went through the entire process with this kit and it really made my shoes a lot darker than before. It's still a great cleansing kit and the restoration details are great, especially the skin milk. But if you're trying to achieve a high gloss then I don't think this set can do it. To be fair I was 8 years in the military and 4 years in ROTC. So I have a lot of experience in shoe cleaning. This is great for restoring old, frayed leather, but you'll need a waxy product to add shine.
