I was in a bad mood when the Aprilaire 760 humidifier was turned on or off; I don't know which exactly. So I installed the firing pin safety from the horizontal 1/4" feed tube down and then to the solenoid valve. I suspected the shock is bi-directional; I hope. So; which end is in and which is out. I have to think it plays doesn't matter. I also installed a 'new' solenoid valve replacing a working old block. Then after these two changes were made during the night the furnace was shut down in the morning (63 F). The 3-A- Blown fuse on the heater control box. The clue was that the oven controller was showing a flashing LED code 24. This means that in my case the 24VAC voltage is to blame. For now I have disconnected the 24VAC wires from the new solenoid, in assuming this caused the problem I installed a new 3 amp fuse, closed the oven panels and turned on the 120v AC switch everything seemed to work and j now we have heat. So what caused the problem? My possible misplaced shock or magneto short
