Review on Super Flexible Drain Brush, 48-Inch - Brushtech Extra Long by Vicki Lane

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Makes drain cleaning child's play!

Our drains have been slowing down and as a result are a little smelly. I hate using caustic products like Draino unless it's necessary so I liked the idea of a cleaning brush. This brush did the job perfectly (and for me it did WAY better than any drain cleaning liquid/suds I've used in the past). It was so easy. I daresay. Fun? It slid down the bathroom vanity drains, splintering quickly when I ran hot water, and bobbing up and down as I ran it along the pipe to clear debris from the walls. No big mess to clean up when I pulled it out of the sewer. I managed to get it through the kitchen drain grate (although I probably shouldn't do it twice or I could lose the brush head) but that cleaned up great too! I had a bundle of cat hair causing me to hang things up after washing my cat and forgetting to put a safety net down the drain. Since the drain grate is narrow, I used one of those long plastic drain cleaning strips with teeth on the sides (this is a separate product and not included; mine were from Lowe's or Home Depot). It got all those messy hairs out of the way with ease and now my drain flows with no problems and is sparkling clean! I would highly recommend this Brushtech brush to all homeowners - I wish I had bought it a year ago! It's strong enough, I think it will last a long time.
