If the faint beeping you hear when switching between your computers is the biggest complaint you have about this device, then look for something to complain about. Before that I tried a small IOGear MiniView with 2 ports of a KVM unit. I couldn't find anywhere on the box what OS it would work with, so I had to take it home. Apparently the IOGear either choked on Windows 95, which I use on one of my computers, or choked on the optical mouse (I use a PS/2 adapter with it). Somehow it didn't work. So I sent it back and ordered a Belkin. Belkin worked smoothly the first time. It recognizes both computers (both operating systems) AND the mouse even with its adapter. If I had one complaint about the Belkin device, it would be the fact that it looks like a techno spider when everything is plugged into it. Otherwise, I am very satisfied. It does exactly what I need.
