Review on 🍴 Gmark Disposable Wooden Forks Paper Wrapped - Pack of 100, 6.5" Forks - All-Natural, Eco-Friendly, Biodegradable, Compostable - Individually Wrapped in Box (GM1026) by James Beird

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A bit of confusion in the documentation, but the product itself isn't bad.

- made in China - there is a warning "These are not toys (sic). Keep out of the reach of children" - outer carton can be recycled - each piece purely paper envelope sealed at both ends - it doesn't say it here or on the packaging, but the company's website says it can be composted in the backyard. I'm a Blue Bell Moo Bar fan. I know the taste of wood in popsicle sticks, so I never lick them off. I was interested to see if these wooden forks had the same bad taste. I'm sorry to say, yes they do. However, they are pretty easy to use without leaking. While my husband uses his lips to snatch food from forks, I always use my teeth. I am sweet. As an alternative to plastic, I like to lick my wooden forks if necessary. They are very smooth. Don't worry about getting stung. The tips of the fork are quite sharp, despite the warning on the packaging, any child who can handle adult cutlery can easily handle them. It doesn't say so, but paper wrap also appears to be compostable. so. I think they can be reused by the same person depending on what you used them for with a light sponge wipe. According to the website they are made of birch. No certifications are mentioned, but FSC, the Forest Stewardship Council, is mentioned. Despite being a 5 star item, very important things were missing from the listing information and some did not match what is written on their website. I have to deduct a star for that.
