My old sliding wood doors have trouble sealing where they slide. I felt a draft from top to bottom, a cold wind blew into my house. I have tried using sealing tape but they are difficult to apply for a good seal and keep falling apart in the summer from slipping. I don't use the door in winter and this sealing tape worked great to finally keep the cold wind from getting in. It was barely wide enough, but covered the gap just enough to seal it on both sides. Initially I left a few inches of floor unglued and you could feel the cold wind from there and not from the rest of the gap. It made a big difference. Until I find time to buy a new sliding door, this will be my go-to place for the winter.
