Worked well to hang the projector from a high ceiling; 3 used to pull it down quite a bit
Hanging directly from the ceiling allows you to buy multiple sets and get more length than one set can provide. I was able to fall over 50 inches (over 4 feet) from our high ceiling (enough to get past our hanging ceiling fan) by attaching the poles from the other two sets - had no problem connecting them. that you only want to do this when hanging straight down; It is NOT recommended to do this (longer than the usual 21 inches) horizontally or diagonally. Has been hanging for two and a half years with no problems. Our mounted projector is very stable.
