Installation was very intuitive and took about an hour including adding a new outlet to plug in the device. I say don't make it too hard for a reason, really. I've seen many photos of the controller stuck in the ceiling with the opener motor and all sorts of other places (out of reach) that made me want "WHAT?" in addition to existing controllers. These are two wires (on the door). NOT DIFFICULT! I was pleasantly surprised that the controller mounting bracket's screw holes (2) were positioned to fit a standard J-Box (or low-voltage "box"). As with most garages, I'm pretty sure mine just had holes drilled in the drywall for the controller wires to run through. It was nice to be able to plug the J-Box into the wall to rid the cords of rats! Any maintenance in the future will be much easier! The app is pretty simple and connecting to the wifi was quick and easy, as was pairing the door position sensors. Setting up Alexa Skill was just as easy and took seconds. Yes, the commands are a bit verbose, but that doesn't really bother me - I love this feature. ADVANTAGES: Easy installation, mounting bracket compatible with standard J-Box, simple app, easy integration with Alexa. Command(s) for Alexa
