I researched cases for my fuse plate. I looked at several strains, read reviews and the like. Although this case didn't have many reviews, I have had several other Startech products ranging from 7ft network racks to wall mount racks, cloners and other items. So I decided this would be a great new product to try. Well packaged there was an Esata cable and a USB 3.0 cable in the box. I connected the enclosure to a WD Blue 4TB drive and the drive and enclosure worked well together. I always did a much needed local backup instead of a weekly backup to a portable drive. I have a feeling this will do the job until I can install a NAS and use Blazebackup as my remote backup solution. In short, this case helps tie data backup to local storage and will work well for most people. I didn't test this with a 2.5" SSD as it wasn't possible until the price of SSDs over 4TB went down.
