Review on πŸͺœ Werner 97P Extension Ladder Stabilizer and Surface Protectors: Adjustable True Grip for Optimal Safety by Knate Scarpelli

Beautiful and durable: Accessory

This is a must have if you have a two story home and want to safely clean your gutters. My light ladder that came with the house jumped so badly that I was afraid to use it alone. My neighbor held the floor for me which made it hard enough for me to clean the gutter. This allowed me to make it less elongated, making the ladder stiff enough for me to use alone. Advantages: very durable; adjustable range and depth/distance; Quick On/Off Clips - You must remove your legs to stow the ladder. Cons: As another reviewer said, the grommets don't rotate enough for a low pitched roof - you don't need the sides to transition into shingles, which I really don't like. I have no interest in metal modifications - I will discuss this with the manufacturer. Note: This adds extra weight to the ladder at the top (making it heavier than you're used to). I'm still not sure what the hats are for. Seems slippery to me. The instructions say something about adding rubber sealant, which I think increases traction, which seems odd - somehow they look more like rubber pads. One more thing to note: I bought this on purpose because it had such great depth. / Confrontation. I expected him to clear the gutters when he hit the house. However, what I didn't take into account is that the angle of the stairs brings the top of the stairs a little closer to the house (won't clear my gutters). I got it as high as I could and held it to the ceiling and I was still able to lean it against the house and have enough hand to clean the gutters. I'll see if there happens to be an extension cord - it only takes 4 inches.
