I really wish I could give these more like a 4.75 but the pros do outweigh the cons so definitely give them a try if you’re looking to replace the expensive/wasteful store bought pouches.I have extremely picky 18 mo b/g twins and some days the only way I can get them to eat ANYTHING is the pouches. We made the switch to these reusable ones because buying them by the dozens every week was getting ridiculous. These are easy to fill - once you get them open - and it really doesn’t take that much effort to throw some frozen fruit/veggies in a blender, or just regular yogurt or applesauce, and pour right into the pouch. They’re easy to wash out; I’ve been giving them a good rinse with hot soapy water and then throwing in the dishwasher and drying on a mat (I would not dry these with the heat-dry in the dishwasher, I imagine that’s where problems with the seal start). No mold other funk to be found. They are kind of hard to get open (I’ve broken a few nails!) but that’s both good and bad. The other negative is that they’re a little thinner/floppier than the store-bought pouches. With these, my daughter -a mini Jackson pollock apparently - especially likes to flail them around and see what happens. She never did that before.but it’s not a dealbreaker as far as the quality/durability imo, just an annoyance.I really like that I can make combinations of fruits/veggies I wouldn’t necessarily be able to get in the pre-made. Pouches seem to be the easiest way for me to "hide” vegetables they otherwise would turn their head at/throw on the floor, and making the filling myself, I can better control the veggie to fruit ratio. All in all, a good buy if your kid is really big on the squeezy-pouches.
