This helmet is worth every penny. I've tried a few similarly priced ones and returned them due to fragility, bad hinges, cheap straps, and even slow shading. I have used some very high quality shields and have been told that Hobart's helmets are as good as their welders. You weren't wrong. I can carry and use this shield for hours. As an artist, I will be making dozens of small welds, not large ones, so weight and ease of use are key, as is offline clarity. This model is ideal for long-term use and I'm very glad I took a friend's advice.
