Great tonic, great price.

Excellent sharpening stone. I wanted a high quality ceramic grinder for my more expensive kitchen knives. And I had to sharpen with the highest possible grit for as long as possible. This will of course remove some steel from the knives, so it's also a good idea to sharpen well so you can turn and keep the knives sharp and unscathed. This grinder is long, very fine grit, seems sturdy and works great for me. Like any ceramic grinder, it can break, so be careful not to drop it or roll it off the table. Also, don't show off (idiot) and sharpen quickly like in the movies and shows or you'll chip it off with your knife (and you won't get as good an edge/rebuild). Great price, great product. I should also note that this whetstone is very thick. Much thicker than a steel axe. So your knife block may have a hole that is too small. But mine fit well.

Pros
  • Preserved and made in the USA
Cons
  • Crumpled
