It's quite thin and I really doubt the claim of 13000 rpm, maybe 1300 rpm. It's not very strong, but it is does what i need. I make tall mugs of hot chocolate for my wife with Hershey dark chocolate, milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla. It's always been difficult to get all the lumps out of the cocoa, but it seems to work. I only add half the milk and cocoa and that gives me room to work. I don't even pour it into the hopper, I just add milk and add 2.5 tons of cocoa. Then I beat the blender up and down and it gets rid of any lumps. The head is slightly tilted, but this can result in better performance. I should have paid more attention to the battery size as this item eats batteries. It uses AAA batteries with a nominal capacity of 1000mAh, while AA batteries are around 2400mAh. The main question is how long will they last. But what do I expect for $12? It's not a thunderstick, but a lot less of a hassle to use and clean.
