BEST PUMP! Okay, obviously it's not the BEST pump, but for the price you can't find anything better, and frankly, you don't want to. This pump has exceeded all my expectations. It arrived well packaged and in new condition. The supplied instructions are detailed and easy to understand. The pump has a plastic body but feels solid and heavy. After installing the pump, I turned it on. NOTHING. at least that's what I thought. Didn't hear it working, I thought it was defective until water started pouring into my tank from my sump. This thing ran hard and I couldn't even do it. Sure, I had an air pump running in the same room, but it's not a noisy air pump. The sound of water entering your tank is louder than that pump. Aside from whispering, it is very easy to adjust the flow rate. The included controller is simple and very effective. I had no trouble adjusting the water flow exactly how I needed it. (I breed discus, so specific water consumption is important). The controller has a "Feed" button. Pressing this button will temporarily stop the pump to prevent food from entering the filter. I love this feature and use it every time I feed! When switched on, the pump slowly builds up to the desired flow rate. This is great because it doesn't suddenly splash water into your aquarium and give the fish a head. The pump can be sued by both the internal and external pump. I LOVE THIS PUMP! I couldn't wish for anything more. It met all my needs and exceeded my expectations. If you need a medium to high capacity pump, get this one!
