On my 2009 Dodge Dakota, I found the process difficult. The tool requires a lot of effort. Everything is on the way, air conditioning on one side, brake booster on the other. You can handle the front cylinders, but the rear cylinders didn't leave enough room in my case to use a long enough ratchet to get the job done. Due to the design of the tool, you cannot get enough compression on the intake valve spring because the fuel rail is an obstacle, so the rail must be removed as well. With a small design change, this is not a problem. I'm sure other years and models may vary.
