Review on πŸ“Έ Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Lens with Speedlite EL-100: Ultimate Photography Bundle by Wiktor Kosiorek ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Matches the description completely, very satisfied.

An acceptable portrait lens that is nearly perfect, but not ubiquitous, on crop matrices you may encounter during your shooting. The focal length varies. I'd say this lens is fine if you just require a camera a few times a year. It has a silent motor, quick focusing, and produces bright, high-quality images. Any camera with a lens costing more than $30,000 ought to be set up to automatically shoot in such a way that even the thought of editing the pictures is eliminated before the shutter is released. Otherwise, photography, etc. is a dark forest.

Pros
  • Excellent alternative to standard 18-55mm zoom lenses When the weather is nice, it's ideal for shooting both portraits and miniature landscapes. If you were given a crop DSLR and find that a cheap and regular lens doesn't work for your photography, this is a great accessory to pack for your next trip.
Cons
  • 1. Price. Even if it's not easy to get a better lens in stores, $10k is still a lot to pay for this lens, especially because most Chinese equivalents are 50mm fixes and aren't necessarily great in terms of lens quality and mechanism.
