Doesn't fit perfectly, but does seal
The filter is approximately one-eighth of an inch shorter to contact the top and bottom of the humidifier housing. This allows air to flow around the filter, resulting in the exiting air not being as humid as it should be. The filter will swell over time to fill the small gap at the top.
