Works well with tips from other reviews. I used this tool to regroove a set of tires and then gobble them up. Regrooving requires a lot of work, and the slit is very easy. If all you want to do is cut tires, this tool gets the job done all day with ease. I found that using a propane torch (plumber style) to preheat the next section of tire made the hands a lot easier and the job quicker. The saw will cut without preheating, but you will need to move more slowly as the rubber takes longer to warm up as you move.
