They'll never be the same again as they were when they were made in the USA, but if you want the USA you live in a Commonwealth country. However, they are great Chucks. I just rip out the inner lining (which is easy unlike the American built shoes) and put a Birkenstock insole inside. I have the best of both worlds: my cartridges (good for 2-3 years) with Birks comfort (even better than the comfort of original American cartridges). I'm just glad cartridges are still made. I'm amazed Converse didn't just throw them away.
