This stuff is a little tricky to work with - I finally settled on using a box cutter because a scissor kept getting stuck. Of course, I wouldn't recommend that approach to anyone who is clumsy :-) . BUT, the tape itself is all that it should be. Sticks well and true, with a backing cover that slides off nicely (go slowly so you don't tear it) so you can put one side down firmly and then reveal the sticky other side when you are ready. So, very good product. I have NO idea how/if it will come off. I used it on stair carpets and so I'm happy that is shows absolutely no sign of giving. I wouldn't want slippage on stairs.
