I bought these (possibly a different brand, but the same basic thing) a few years ago for my indoor cats. Put them on a few different wall corners around the house. They like them - self-service face scratching is apparently an important part of cat self-care. So I decided to buy new ones for the patio cats. Since they are being used outside, I did not use adhesive but used the included screws. Took just a few minutes to attach them to the corners of my wooden cat house and cat feeding stations. I knocked off a star on "easy to use" because I did find the included catnip a bit difficult to manage - i spilled a lot, but whatever, it's just dry catnip. I'm not even sure the catnip is necessary. The outside cats found these quickly and have been using them. They require no maintenance - the tines are short and well spaced so any hair/whiskers that come off the cat don't stick (unlike a cat brush that you have to stop and manually clean out). So I'm satisfied and so, apparently, are the cats.
