Review on πŸ“Ί The Ultimate Entertainment on-the-go: Sylvania Dual Screen Portable DVD Players (9-inch) by Darian Massey

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works consistently well, 1 year warranty is a lie

Worked for several months and when it worked it was fine but now it clicks, the DVD won't load and when it does load it does keeps jumping and freezing. Also, one of the strap loops came loose when attaching it to the car's headrest. It's a flimsy plastic loop (i.e. poor design) and broke when tightening the strap at normal tension. The guarantee (PDF link under "Product information" --> "Specifications") reads: GUARANTEE CONDITIONSC.I. The Service Department warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year parts and 90 days labor from the date of purchase. I tried to return the item after 9 months but Revain wouldn't let me. I called the manufacturer's number and they said (in a heavy Indian accent) that the warranty had expired. I stated the above terms 3 times and underlined "1 year" but they just ignored me and said the warranty is 90 days. They told me to check their website but they had no product information on their website. I am now contacting the seller (FSN) to see if they honor (or even honor) the warranty attached to the product. I assume all sellers know this is just a cheap product from China. designed to look good when you buy it, but not built to last. The 1 year warranty offer sounds good but they won't go through with it as most people just throw it away and buy a new one instead of keeping their word. and other troubles began.
