A great upgrade over the standard toilet seat. I bought three of these and they all arrived in perfect condition. Installs in about 5 minutes each and they work as advertised. The seats on my standard round American toilet are solid and don't move or flex. I prefer plastic seats to wooden seats because of their durable appearance and hygienic properties. The wood version is heavier overall, but I've found that all brands of wood seats start to lose their finish after a few years. These slow-closing Mayfair seats are great to use, quiet and well made. Time will tell if the hinges will last longer than 10 years. I really hope so because they are great - no more clapping!
