I wasn't ready for this

This replaced an old floor lamp that was taking up too much space. The one with a thick yellowish lampshade that didn't let in much light. I wall mounted this product, plugged it in and flipped the switch I connected it to. I did not see anything! It was so bright compared to my lamp, it was intense. After finding the light switch and turning it off, I turned off the dimmer so I could get to work the next time I turned it on. Now I really like this light.
