I received this pillow almost 2 months ago but didn't write a review because I wanted to know first hand how it would hold up to constant night time use. I have been using wedge pillows for a number of years as they help with my ailments but I always get hot and turn them over in the middle of the night to avoid hitting my husband in the face. This pillow has eggcrate foam on top and I've never overheated. I mostly use an 8 inch height with an extra small pillow, but I've had some heavy nights adding an extra piece and sleeping on a 12 inch height. I had never used such a high wedge before but felt like I was lying in a comfortable chair. The pillowcase that comes with the pillow is good, but if you have sensitive skin you might want to cover the bamboo base with a smoother fabric, but I think that holds more heat as well. Don't try to sleep on a 12" wedge on your side, you'll regret it when you wake up. With a standard 8 inch wedge, you can place the thin edge right at your hip or higher, your body will bend naturally there and you will be less likely to get stuck. Try putting a small, thin pillow under your head to keep your spine aligned; I like using pillow inserts simply because they are cheap and not very thick. Hope this helps someone!
