Excellent solution for providing water from clean 5 gallon bottled water

Great value if you want easier access to bottled water than you would with a traditional water dispenser. This system is simple and beautiful. easy to install and still works well. There can be problems with the shut-off valves in the tubes of the bottles - if they don't close completely when the bottle is emptied, the pump can continue to work and draw in air. I regularly tap the bottom of the sticks where the float valves are on the bottom of the bottles. Especially when switching to new full water bottles. Special Note: Like me, you may want to find real five-gallon bottles away from the pump and outlet line to your faucet or ice maker. If this is the case, you will likely need to extend a 1/2" ID line from the pump to where the bottles are located. The hose that comes with the kit is a high quality hose that adds no taste or smell to the water flowing through it. I've learned that aftermarket hoses from hardware stores might be different. Even when advertised as potable or drinking water, it can impart an undesirable taste or odor to what comes out of your faucet. Especially if he's been in line for more than a few hours. The answer for me was to buy the required hose from a shipping store. Hose with special marking for drinking water. Since most boats use hoses to bring fresh water from the storage tank to the faucet, this is a common requirement. And these hoses have to be perfect. And so far they have been. It's worth the extra cost per foot that Marine Delivery (West Marine in my case) charges to the hardware store if you can get the hose you really need. Use plastic hose barbs, also available marine grade, to connect your new hose to the hose provided with this kit. Like the hose, they add no flavor. Don't forget to clamp them with stainless steel clamps. Even small air leaks will cause your pump to stop filling due to air pockets in the tubing.
