Ugh. I had such high hopes for this contact document after reading the reviews and seeing the beautiful projects everyone has completed. I was planning on using this to create an impromptu background for layout photography so I didn't need anything too professional but wow. This did not bring the slightest result. First, it ripped and bubbled up just as I was trying to peel off the tape it was wrapped in. When I saw this I thought there was a problem and should have just rolled it up and sent it back. but I was determined to start my project. I had to cut about 5 inches where the gap was and then start gluing. I used to apply contact paper and have a lot of experience with vinyl, decals etc but this was the hardest for me. Any little tug or slight movement to move it would result in a break, stretch, or blister. Once it's on, it's initially detachable and not entirely permanent, but adjusting it only increases the amount of bubbles! Then I tried to wipe them off but ended up with creases or whole tears because the material is so thin. I'm so disappointed with how awful he looks. The only reason I gave two stars is because it looks exactly like the pictures. It is very beautiful and has many unique wood grains and knots. However, it is not about low quality and disappointment. I might try it on a smoother surface and with the help of a second person and see if it gets easier.
