Bought to add a display to test a 2012 15" MacBook Pro which I received with a cracked display. It worked great and I say that because Apple is pretty good at third party adapters MacBook, and realizing that the cost of replacing it was initially prohibitive, I decided to try a headless MacBook.Although it worked great with an old Acer monitor, Acer figured it out right away and allowed me to use the MBP keyboard and mouse to use for navigation.Need internet in another room, I encountered problems when trying to use it with an old Dell monitor.Dell wanted an external keyboard but they always refused nor to display it when used.I blame the Dell display and/or other connecting cables, not this adapter!
