Oh my god. Where do I even begin to get excited about this product? I was on a last minute search for all the available cowboy outfits my 5 year old daughter could wear to the daddy daughter dance. When I say last minute I mean I searched on a Thursday while at work last week and the dance was this Friday night! So as a Prime member I also expected AMAZING Revain next day delivery. I came across this outfit and also another outfit that looked better than this one in the photo. It just looked like there was more pizza in it. But then I started reading reviews of this other outfit and the most consistent complaint was that it was so bad and the quality was inferior. I was under too much pressure to take that risk. Reviews for this outfit were mostly very positive. But I still wasn't sure because my daughter is 5 years old. She can wear size 6 clothes if her waist can be tightened. So I was concerned that this outfit would not be small enough for her waist. The last thing I wanted was for my daughter to worry about her skirt falling off during the dance. Also, I was concerned about the size of the vest. Overall I was a mom and just hoping this last minute purchase would 1) arrive on time and 2) just fit perfectly! Well I'm MORE than happy to say that this outfit is perfect for my daughter! First of all, the package arrived around noon on Friday. Needless to say, when I got the message "delivered" I immediately wanted to drive home from work to open the package and see how it looked. But instead I was happy that at least the package arrived much earlier than I thought. Fast forward to my arrival home and opening the package with my daughter. PURE JOY! I opened the box and saw that the outfit was packaged so nicely in a thick plastic bag with dress buttons. The material of the outfit was AWESOME. Not cheap and no plastic which I was afraid of. I didn't want it to look fancy. The skirt had an excellent quality elasticated waist; This skirt suits both slim waists and "healthier" waists as it stretches phenomenally. The length was perfect too. The little silver belt buckle is the cutest thing! It's made of a shiny silver material that I thought was shiny. vest, scarf and hat. Oh God. PERFECTION! All I had to do was throw a small white t-shirt under my vest and the pink silk scarf pulled it up. The velcro on the scarf stayed closed all night and the quality was excellent. The hat fit perfectly. Given the price of the whole outfit and accessories, I really shouldn't complain that the hat didn't have a little drawstring to keep it in place when baby bounced up and down. So I won't complain about the lack of a tip! :) The silver medallion star that attaches to the vest kept slipping out of a small hole so I just took some strong decorative ribbon and glued the back of the clip to the vest. Worked like an absolute charm and didn't look dirty as the vest stayed closed. I loved the colors in this outfit, the quality was excellent - in fact the material felt like very soft cowhide. I know it sounds a bit rough but don't let that put you off, it was very soft and beautiful. I am over the moon with this purchase and when paired with a pair of cowboy boots you simply can't go wrong! I actually ran into the store the day before to get cowboy boots - they didn't have pink/girly ones so I bought the men's boots and put some glittery stickers on them and voila, she was the cutest cowgirl in the room! Don't hesitate with this purchase. This will work for your child, I would say between the ages of 3 and 6, and they will enjoy it for more than an evening. Much luck!
