Klutz and IDEO have obviously found a great partnership charged with brilliance and . FUN!I gave this book to my three younger cousins and they have called me several times to read their favorite inventions and laugh hysterically into the speaker phone. I have a copy myself and cannot help but smile or laugh through each flip of the page. This is a great book!

I have never personally left a review on amazon before, but my son really wanted me to write one for this book. He loves it! He likes to read it for hours and the rest of the family thinks it is funny too.

I bought this for my classroom (6th-8th) and students couldn't put it down. It's been "loved to death". My 6 & 10 yr. old grandsons love it too.

Illustrated inventions that are both clever and absurd. Examples of tangential thought unleashed frompracticality; or tied to closely to it.

Basically this is a number of pages bound together in a binder. While some are actually funny, you could read it in twenty minutes and throw it in the next garage sale.

Personally, I think it's ridiculous I keep telling myself that the high-heel shoes with training wheels, the tricycle with the lawn mower blade , or the elevator with the stair-masters in it will get old soon but she's had it several months and keeps returning to the book. She loves it, actually, reads it over and over, while chuckling at the silly inventions. If you have an imaginative child with a sense of humor they shoud enjoy it too. I'm a thirty-two year old father of four. We took our kids to the toy store and everything was going great until I found this book. Then I somehow managed to ignore my kids for the next thirty minutes. So many of the inventions were just so funny. I'm not much of a laugh-out-loud kind of guy but this one had me rolling. All kinds of funny and very well done. Definitely a good gift, coffe table book or just a fun one to have around the house.

My 10 year old/5th grader saw this book when we were out shopping for Christmas presents and rushed to show it to me so, of course, I rushed home and ordered it. I bought this book for my kids. We had a long road trip. I held onto it until they started getting bored and then gave it to them. They enjoyed it. The best title they've had is The Encyclopedia of Immaturity Volume 1, but this is another fun one.

My daughter wanted this. We had lots of good laughs over the ridiculous and dangerous inventions. She even wanted to submit some of her own to the publisher.

I bought this for my nephews thinking it would be silly inventions that they could recreate and have fun with. It's not that at all. Just pages of wacky and fake inventions that these guys come up with. I'm sure it will still entertain my nephews, it just wasn't what I expected.

I used to work with author Brendan Boyle at IDEO, so I know how fun and creative he and the rest of the IDEO team can be. This book is filled with their energy and enthusiasm for inventing whimsical contraptions and entertaining children of all ages. There are a couple inventions in this book that I wish I had right now.

What a fun and refreshing book for kids and adults alike. The world of possibility is just around the corner, and this book reminds us of that. Great as a gift for curious kids and adults who haven't lost their imaginations.

The innovated products that the creative companies such as IDEO generate do not come out of a vacuum. This book lets you become part of the creative process. It is the closest thing in a very light and easily readable way to actually getting a first hand look at how ideas peculate up from a group of radical and exciting creators. I've read the othe Klutz books so I thought I would give this one a try. It is wonderful-two thumbs up!. Even my teenage kids couldn't stop laughing when reading it. These guys who wrote it are super creative-It would be cool to spend a day at one of their brainstorming sessions to see how they come up with these ideas. Very creative- I fully reccommend it!

The kid says: Frickin' hilarious. Some of the inventions are more practical than others, but none of that matters because they're all pretty fun to read about. Some of my favorites are the weiner cleaner (a brush that you can strap to the underside of a dog), the password-protected stapler, and the foot-mounted rocket launchers.
