Suitable for CAD but not for gaming

This controller is designed for better 3D control in 3D applications and modelling. Enhanced control is achieved through the use of a 3D compound in the second hand when using a mouse, trackpad, or trackball in the main hand. One is for working with the selection and the second is for working with the 3D space that the selection is in. Applications of this type are usually specialized applications like Rhino (3D modeler). Since most 3D VAST applications partially support this control, I've made a list of test results to avoid further disappointment. (better than Modo/Lightwave when using the 3D connection controller), Lightwave 11, Modo 65 of 6 are supported correctly - not necessarily the same supported controls used in these applications 3ds Max Design 2013, Shade 12.1 (correct yes, but not smooth), MoI 2, DAZ 44 of 6 is correctly supported by Mudbox 20133 of 6 is correctly supported by Blender 2.63a The driver that supports the Windows boot option with the program is a standard driver. These results are based on the default driver. Also, developers have to work with the standard driver. The beta driver to use this device for any application is a keymap driver that supports a large amount of supported software based solely on provided keymaps and not actual support. This includes software like Second Life. The button layout isn't as good as a developer who puts effort into programming specifically for the device, and the discerning user will notice.

Pros
  • 15 pre-configured buttons
Cons
  • Big and bulky
