I found them to be ordinary microphone clips. I have a wide mic with a battery (an old Rhode NT 2) which is a larger diameter tube mic. It is quite wide as it supports 9V battery active mode. I can adjust it as the material is a bit stretchy but it takes quite a bit of snagging to get it in there. If the material was a little softer it would work much better, but the larger diameter is what I expected with the "big barrel" description.
