Amazing Value: Internals

Everything just works here. This was an upgrade from my previous Gigabyte B350 board, which for some reason couldn't support the 64GB of RAM listed in the specs (couldn't even support more than 32). This board is phenomenal: 1) AX WiFi chipset easily $502) Sonar sound chipset easily $603) 2.5Gb and 1Gb ethernet port/chipset easily $100 (can use two ports to charge pfSense and den fastest/secure/custom router Savings of $300-$500 if you're willing to bother to set it up) 4) True nvme ports that don't disable your SATA ports 5) 8 SATA ports for NAS 6) Amazing and intuitive BIOS where everything works 7) Cool design with heatsink and LEDs 8) LED multiplexer that puts out a number on bios errors and contacts for bios speakers (may be useless for most people, but it is very handy for unlucky people like me, u there are more bad motherboards than there aren't. This feature seems to be slowly disappearing from many new motherboards for some reason)

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Approximately
