A €40 pair of cycling shorts will never match a €100 brand name pant, but they are surprisingly close. The fit is a bit off for me. When I get a size that fits above, the leg holes are a bit loose at the bottom and vice versa. But the padding is really good and the stitching seems solid. This is my second pair of Sponeeds and the first has lasted a few years and is fine. I have a pair of premium suede shorts. They are better but rather than breaking the bank by buying 6 or 7 or such to make sure I have enough I would rather have 2 or 3 at this price for a versatile shorter day trip. They are more than enough for most trips.
