This is a really good mounting option and appears to be well made. It took me longer to get the screwdriver from the tool box than to install it. I have no plans to use the tape at the moment. I don't think this will be necessary, so I don't know how well this works. I bought it for my phone and ended up using it for my tuner. One downside is that the ball size is 20mm which is about 3/4" and most other manufacturers use 1" balls including the piston so it is difficult to find interchangeable parts. Now I need another hand to fix the phone and I can't find anything. While this seems like a great product, they need to expand their range and offer more options, I would buy more.
