Review on πŸš— QKPARTS Hoypeyfiy Center Console Cover: Gray for Toyota Highlander 2008-2013 by Nick Howard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Must be factory fitted

This console cover is much better than the factory one. It should be an OEM. The firmware matches the seats. The color is a bit darker than the leather interior, but you don't really notice it. Installation isn't that easy and anyone who works with plastic cars knows clips break etc. Watch some YouTube videos on how to remove an old console cover and it will be a lot easier. I used 3M spray adhesive to attach the new cap to the foam. Tip: Sand the foam cover if there are any bumps. You want the foam to be as smooth as possible. Otherwise, defects will become visible through the new coating. The cover is very small, making it difficult to pull over the edges and staple together, but it means you don't have to cut anything when you're done. Trim the corners about half an inch on each side to make them easier to bend without wrinkling. Attach the new cover to the plastic "shell" with great force. Don't use long staples (1/4" works well). Gluing plastic isn't all that easy. Obviously the lid looks good once installed, but it's a bit of a pain. It was installed on our 2012 Highlander Limited. The Overall quality seems pretty good and as said this is the type of cover Toyota should have used when it was new they clearly have an issue with the cheap plastic they use from the factory this is a great replacement .
