Review on 🚗 Enhance Your Double Din Installation with Scosche DDTRB Trim Ring by Brian Page

I bought this for my 2006 G35 with JDM double din kit. I'm pretty sure this isn't the intended application, so it needs some modifications to make it work. You need to cut out the middle part as well as the bottom part. The sides are also too wide and should be tapered. Unfortunately, the top of the fairing isn't high enough, but it's not too noticeable when viewed from a normal seating position. Although it's a bit flimsy, it's not easy at all to cut with scissors, as another reviewer mentioned. I used a combination of a Dremel cutting wheel (yes, it melts plastic), an X-Acto knife, and a file to get it right. Then I cut out some styrofoam as filling material and glued it to the back of the decorative ring. The result is not perfect, but good enough to be happy with. I have attached some photos. One taken at a higher angle and without a flash; it's more typical of how you normally see it. One at the bottom and with a flash so you can see the gap at the top (it shows through the foam backing which I painted black with a marker).
