Review on Skytech Gaming Skytech Shadow 3 0 Gaming Desktop by Ben Evans

Well 1 month after receiving my computer it's time to share my thoughts. First the good news. The computer should arrive no earlier than September 20th. It arrived 4 days early and was packaged as if they were shipping a museum quality artifact. I read several reviews complaining about the assembly. It was so tightly assembled that one might think it was welded. I read several reviews that criticized the components used in the build. Mine came with an EVGA 3060ti GPU, an ASrock 550 motherboard with 4 RAM slots, an MSI 1 Terrabyte nvme2 SSD and two sticks of 8G Gammix XPG 3200 ddr4 RAM, which is 200MB more than advertised. All these components are well thought out. 1 or 2 reviews were critical of the setup, but when I went into the motherboard bios I found that the RAM and GPU were slightly overclocked, not underpowered. EVGA already overclocks, but bumping the memory to 3600 megabytes was a nice touch since that's the best spot for AMD processors. Several people criticized the case and fan installation, but they were wrong. Fans blowing out at the back and top serve to create a vacuum that draws air from the front slot and bottom mesh, which is more than enough. In addition, if you count the graphics card and power supply, there are only 8 fans in this case. I live in Florida with no air conditioning and this case is still a freezer. Some people have complained that they can't find the RGB settings on the motherboard. Skytech must have heard that because there is a quarter sized icon on the left side of my screen. Fun to play with lights, but an external switch would be fine. Several people said support was hard to come by. I think Skytech heard about them too because there are also 2 icons on my screen that are designed to link to them. 1 via email and 1 for live support. But I haven't used them yet. Perfomance? That's a beast. I'm playing on a 50" 4K TV with a 60Hz refresh rate. That means the best frame rate I can get is 60 fps. This computer can do this while standing upside down at the most demanding settings I can offer it. I don't see the need for an upgrade for a long time (although I can upgrade to 32GB of RAM if I can find the right sticks). Because mail carries risks. But my advice is: look at the overwhelming number of positive reviews and relax. This is a great product that generally works better than advertised. So what's wrong? In the month I've had this computer has gone up in price by a hundred dollars. Priced at $1,549.00, this machine was way ahead of the rest in value. At $1,649.00 the gap is smaller. It is worth noting that the same machine is sold and supplied by Revain. $50 less than buying direct from Skytech like me. Will this affect setup or build quality? But as of now, October 16th, the biggest deal on this page is the $30 more expensive Ryzen 7 3700X liquid-cooled model. Either way, these machines will keep you happy. worry will not.
