Advantages: - Very elegant rimless glass tank. Trust me it looks damn cool - it takes up little space and looks really nice on a table - pretty well thought out: covers a lot of the edge to prevent jumpers from flying out, has a center hole big enough is for light to come through and for feeding the fish and also has a small gap in the back to allow for the fitting of lights, heating cables etc. Cons: Standard LED is weak. It works if you just want it to shine on your betta, but it's not good enough for plants other than maybe duckweed and anubias. If you want a planted aquarium like mine, you almost have to invest in another lighting option or a window with enough sunlight. This is a small aquarium. It's very hard to keep things alive when you don't know what you're doing - again, it's a small reservoir. which means it's hard to find hardware for it. In principle, a filter for this without taking up a significant amount of space is impossible. I tried the smallest HOB filter I could find (Azoo Mignon) but the filter looks as wide as the tank itself and is just plain ugly and looks like a kid with a backpack bigger than himself, so I give the idea of a filter in this tank. If looks are important to you, the filter probably won't fit and you'll need to come up with something more creative, e.g. B. a Walstad tank that I made with mine. If you really need a filter I would suggest using an air pump sponge filter. It's the same with a radiator: it's difficult to install a glass tube radiator and still look good. I've found that the only ones that work and look decent are the Marina c10 and the aquatop nano 15w, but these plastic heaters, even with preset temperatures, don't usually work as well as glass heaters. They maintain a relatively stable warm temperature, but do not place high hopes in it. Oddly poor quality control on these tanks. Maybe it's the low price, or maybe the inventory is poorly stocked, but I feel like all of these tanks have varying degrees of minor scuffs and scratches on the glass walls. I had to take two of them, find the one with the fewest scratches and return the other. They're not big, but I wasn't very happy paying $20 for a nice 1-gallon rimless glass cube that's worn and scratched. Overall I'm very happy with it. It's small, rimless, glassy, sleek, affordable and just what I wanted to put in a nano planted aquarium. But it's not a tank for everyone. This is not a toy and probably not a Christmas present for your child (if your child does not know how to manage a nano aquarium then this aquarium is great for him/her) because keeping a betta will not be easy. alive in this tank. If you want a basic faucet house, get a 2.5 gallon house with a filter. But if you are looking for a very slim rimless nano glass tank for your nano aquascape project, this tank is perfect. So think carefully and do your research before you buy this.
