My son started playing it right away while I was still collecting it. TIP: The first step, which requires a block of wood and a hammer, is easier to do with your foot and bodyweight, which is how I did it. I was able to build this myself using a percussion tool and my own weight (I'm only 110 pounds). I've posted a photo to show my little one's size compared to the product. He is almost 3 feet tall, for reference.
