My son started playing it right away while I was still collecting it. TIP: The first step, which requires a block of wood and a hammer, is easier to do with your foot and bodyweight, which is how I did it. I was able to build this myself using a percussion tool and my own weight (I'm only 110 pounds). I've posted a photo to show my little one's size compared to the product. My daughter loves this piece, after only 1 hour of play she was laughing more than many of her other toys. Included. HOLY SH1T is difficult to assemble. Forget it if you don't have a power tool. It took hours to manually twist everything together, mostly because the plastic is very difficult to slide and align. The design is not very good. Great end product for the price but I would rather grow my whole body than go through that again.

First, not easy installation. I tried for 20 minutes but failed at the first step. It took my husband about 30 minutes to install it with his electric screwdriver. Secondly, my 14 months are just thrilled. It took him about two days to learn how to get up and sit down. And now it can easily go up and slide down by itself. It's a pretty steady slide. Even my 7 year old can play on it. I put it in my family room and now my kids can enjoy the taste of the playground even on a rainy day. Love it.

Great set for an active 18 month old who climbs all over the furniture in our house! Easy assembly, took me 15-20 minutes. I noticed that the "holes" where you need to put the screws were missing or unthreaded. I used an electric drill to avoid the elbow grease and slipping. You may need a rubber mallet to glue some of the bottom pieces together as instructed. I just put a "man weight" on it and it went right in. The perfect little slide for an indoor playroom. Supplied with 10 balls that roll down a small track into the tub on the side. The steps are wide enough but my child has his foot in between and needs help. I wish the slide was a bit longer and the floor wasn't so thick.
