I replaced an Alienware 1080p monitor with this Samsung 4K and use it primarily for work and it has much sharper text for Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Keep in mind that if you leave Windows at the native 4K resolution, you should use the Windows zoom at around 200% as the text will be microscopic and unreadable. So at this magnification level, the text is a bit distorted, but it's worth the trade-off compared to using a 1080p monitor. I also tried the monitor with my Xbox Series X and it works as described at 4K and 120Hz. The only monitor that would be better is an OLED panel, but they're 1.5 times the price of this monitor, and Alienware's current one has a fan that reviewers say is annoying. This monitor seems like a great solution until OLED monitors become cheaper and fanless.
