I bought this pump for a 2007 Gmc Denali Sierra with a 6.2 liter engine. My truck was VERY low on oil and was rattling like a woodpecker. It got a bumpy start and the traction control and check engine indicator lights were on. Long history of the stop. Installed and all my problems were solved. I also changed my timing chain (maybe you're right). The truck is quiet and powerful!
