Yellow tint for fish and aquatic animals

I have noticed that algae growth has increased significantly with these lights despite doing weekly water changes. It seemed to me that I was constantly rubbing, and my snails did not have time. They definitely emit more of a yellowish color, which didn't work well with my white and bi-colored goldfish (making them look yellow instead of white). In my gravel tank it really shows off the yellow color of the gravel and in the photos it looks like canned corn not rocks. I've used them all the time when I had more plants in my aquarium as it seemed to support their growth more than other bulbs, but if you're keeping plastic decorations or a bare bottom I wouldn't recommend these bulbs as they take all the hassle out of it appear to cause imperfections that you might otherwise not notice.

Pros
  • Good value for money
Cons
  • Hard to tell
