What can I say. This is a filter. I won't know if it's effective until it captures the particles. I can tell that the screen can be seen inside through the hose hole in the filter. I don't know if the network is good or not. I just installed it while replacing the factory power steering pump in my 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 RWD. The only thing worth writing about that I didn't bother with was the collars that came with us. They couldn't close tight enough to get past the bulge of the barbed connector on the hose. Normal screw clamps are used, with which everything is fine. The clips are the only reason I didn't give it five stars.
